Oslo University College is a world leader in Network and Administration Research and Education. We hereby announce an open day on the 20th April 2006 under several banners:
  • EU - Network of Excellence - Technology Transfer Day

    OUC/HIO is part of a European Union Network of Excellence (IST-EMANICS) in Network and Service Management. You will be able to meet some of the European leaders in Network Managament Research and hear their views on the future of global network services. What is ITIL/eTOM? What does security mean? What is a Service Level Agreement? What is Linux good for? What does the new EU data storage directive mean for me?

  • Job fair for masters graduates in Network and System Administration

    Meet and perhaps recruit our masters level graduates. OUC offers the most complete and analytically advanced Masters degree in Network and System Administration in the world. There will be poster presentations and descriptions of research, and an opportunity to discuss current technologies with students and staff.

  • Free tutorials on Networking and System Management.

    As part of our commitment to knowledge dissemination and promoting open software and standards, we are offering 2 hour tutorials in the afternoon on the following topics:

    1. Automated Configuration with Cfengine (OUC is the home of cfengine)
    2. Basic Networking Concepts
    3. Virtual Linux Management with MLN (OUC is the home of MLN)
Note that the plenary sessions will be in English, but tutorials can be held in Norwegian depending on the attendance.
